WAITING FOR A PARDON - OR WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR

The photo has nothing to do with the title, but it had to be something - so "Winter Solitude"

But let's get to the point.

Winter doesn't let up. It snowed again, everything froze, and my car refused to cooperate. He was stuck in the workshop; awaiting a pardon from the Chief Mechanic  😊

When it seemed that we wouldn't be going anywhere this weekend, they appeared - Gosia and Andrzej. They suggested going out together. They live outside of Wrocław themselves, so they had to come pick us up and then drive further, but that's what friends are for :-) This time it was Szczodre. I had my reservations about this place, it's true - especially on Sundays (lots of people), but...

We arrived.

Andrzej - on the way from the parking lot

We followed the route around the pond, looking for subjects for our photos.

                                                           In the photo above -

Man with a leaf on his head - Andrzej.

In the background the protruding "disheveled fur" - Małgosia. 😂

In the front, Asia -  my wife.

There were no miracles - some fungus on trunks covered with snow, trees overgrown with mushrooms and some interesting shapes (shadows maybe?) cast on the ice.

We tried different ways of taking photos: some "hugged" the trees, others looked "at height", but there were no great effects.

Here - the "special unit" in action. 😉

Over time, it turns out that even withered and dried rose hips or blackberries can be interesting; a welcome break from the ubiquitous white - photos below.

Old ivies growing on tree trunks looked very impressive.

I was quite surprised by the tree trunks wrapped in black foil.

In the area there was a lot of trees "cut down" by beavers, I thought for a moment that maybe it had something to do with protecting the tress from them - but the foil is no problem for their teeth, so I don't know for sure (maybe it has something to do with some tree pest? ?)

At the end of the walk, we came across a heart cut out by a beaver on a tree trunk.

I don't know if it was for us or for someone else, but it doesn't change the fact that I would like to meet their dentist - I'm jealous  - 😄
